The Quest for the Seven Altons: 88 Miles for Local Charities

Three days, 88 miles, one more village called Alton – raising money for the charities at the heart of September's Big Alton Charity Walk.

There are seven Altons in England. Last October, local walking legend Ian Fleming walked 53 miles to two of them – Alton Barnes and Alton Priors, tucked away in Wiltshire's Vale of Pewsey.
 
This July, he's walking to the last 'local' Alton. An 88-mile walk to Alton Pancras in Dorset, near Cerne Abbas, taking in Braishfield and Cranborne along the way. Three days, 26–28 July – weather permitting.
 
Ian is heavily involved in planning September's Big Alton Charity Walk (27th September), and thought this would be a good way to kick off fundraising for it early.
 

The Charities We Are Supporting

All funds raised will go directly to four incredible local organisations that work tirelessly with children, young people, and families in and around Alton:
